Cocoa Arts recently participated in the Windsor Contemporary Art Fair 2008, which was held at the Royal Windsor Race Course on the 7th – 9th November. This was our second time at this now established event, and as last time, all the art exhibited was enthusiastically received by all the visitors and organisers.
Cocoa Arts took up residence for the weekend at Stand 25 and showcased art from our internationally acclaimed artists. Obi Okigbo's 'Hall of Heroes' ink drawings, Bob Marley, Malcolm X and Martin Luther King, originally produced for her international exhibition, Tapping into the Known in 2007, featured on the main walls and caught many visitors’ attention, as did Julia Roders’ new beautiful black and white paintings and drawings. We also exhibited a new series of paintings titled ‘Senza Nome’ by Kis’ Keya and Jacob Jari’s ‘paper-beads’ artwork were the talk of the Fair. Other artists displayed were our new artists’ Elizabeth James and renowned Nigerian watercolourist and artist, Lekan Onabanjo.
It was a wonderful opportunity to promote Cocoa Arts and our artists and our exhibition stand was highlighted in the local newspaper, The Windsor Express!
All works are now on view and available to purchase on the Cocoa Arts website.
